Long Lake State Recreation Area is made up of 30 acres of rolling sandhills and a 50-acre natural sandhill lake. The area offers fishing, camping, and limited hunting access.
Attractions
Fishing
Long Lake offers fishing opportunities in both the summer and the winter months. Channel catfish, northern pike and yellow perch are the primary fish species caught.

Boating
All boats are welcome on Long Lake, but there is a 5 mph speed limit. There are no docks or ramps.
Hunting
Long Lake SRA has limited upland hunting available. Majority of the lake’s shoreline is privately owned, please stay on public access area only. Waterfowl hunting is by water only from a boat.
Camping
Primitive camping
Primitive camping is available at Long Lake. Long Lake SRA has limited maintenance and is a primitive area for camping and fishing.
Fees
A park entry permit is required and may be purchased at statewide Game and Parks offices and permit vendors or in advance of your arrival online.
