Enders Reservoir

Enders Reservoir State Recreation Area, one of four areas known collectively as the Southwest Reservoirs, is a combination of recreational and wildlife lands. During fall and winter, a portion of the area is a designated wildlife refuge. Because of its refuge status, the recreational facilities are not extensively developed. Including the lake, the entire area encompasses 5,700 acres. Of the 4,000 acres of land, the Enders Wildlife Refuge covers 2,146 acres on the western reaches of the lake. Enders is a great escape for the outdoor enthusiast who wants to enjoy the bounties of nature in a peaceful, uncrowded setting.

Features

Camping

Enders Reservoir SRA has Electric Plus, Primitive and Basic campsites. Two electrical RV sites also offer accessible features. Other amenities include showers, modern restrooms, drinking water, grills, picnic tables and shelters, fish cleaning station and a dump and fill station.

During peak season, camping reservations at Enders can be made for half of the campsites; the other half are first-come, first-served. Campers at first come, first serve sites must register their nightly camping fees in a raised, locked box called an Iron Ranger. Self-service envelopes are provided at each station and accept cash or checks only. Areas with reservable campsites become first-come, first-served sites during nonpeak season.
