Alternative camping options
Camping will be restricted during November firearm deer seasons at four wildlife management areas in western Nebraska.
For the safety of hunters, improved hunting experiences and the protection of wildlife habitat, camping at the Enders, Medicine Creek, Red Willow and Swanson wildlife management areas will be restricted during all future firearm deer seasons. Camping is still available at the adjacent state recreation areas. Learn more about these parks and their campgrounds below. Full enforcement of the regulation will begin in 2026.

Camping rates
State recreation areas offer five levels of camping. Primitive camping mirrors the experience found while camping on wildlife management areas: no electrical, picnic tables, fire rings or grills.
