Connecting hunters with land access in Nebraska through a reservation-based system.
The Managed Access Program (MAP) is a reservation-based hunting system designed to provide controlled access to hunting lands while promoting wildlife conservation. Through partnerships with Nebraska’s private landowners and conservation partners, the Managed Access Program provides hunters with exclusive access opportunities. Participating landowners can select dates available, species and weapon types, while allowing the reservation system to coordinate registered hunters. This flexibility creates opportunities for landowners to share hunting opportunities on their property when convenient.
Registration
Hunters can make reservations up to three days in advance. While reservations are unlimited, hunters may hold a maximum of two active reservations at a time. Each reservation allows groups of up to five registered hunters or non-hunting guests to participate.
To access MAP properties, each individual must register within the current permit system at GoOutdoorsNE.com under the “Recreational User” login. After registering, hunters can reserve access to MAP properties through their customer profile dashboard, obtain permission slips, and make reservations. Additionally, a post-hunt survey is mandatory and must be completed by midnight of the reservation to maintain eligibility for future reservations.
Program rules
Please carefully review the following MAP rules prior to registration:
- Registration and reservation required: All hunters/guests must register and reserve access before arriving.
- Hunting seasons and regulations: All participants must comply with current Nebraska Game and Parks Commission hunting regulations, legal methods of take, bag limits, and established hunting seasons for the species being pursued.
- Permit and license compliance: All participants must have valid hunting permits and stamps for the species being pursued.
- Restricted species: Only species listed in the NGPC-issued permission slip are legal to hunt.
- Walk-in access only: ATVs, UTVs, e-bikes and any other motorized vehicles are NOT allowed on MAP properties.
- Respect the land and landowners: Follow all posted signs, stay on designated paths, and avoid littering, vandalism, or unauthorized vehicle use.
- Prohibited activities: Target shooting, camping, campfires, swimming, alcohol consumption, horseback riding, professional dog training, preseason scouting, and other unauthorized activities are prohibited.
- Mandatory post-hunt survey: A post-hunt survey must be completed by midnight of reservation day to maintain eligibility for future reservations.
- Permission slip: Hunters must carry either a digital or printed copy of NGPC-issued permission slip sent via email.
- Reservation limits: Hunters may make unlimited reservations but can only hold two active reservations at a time.
- Group size limit: Groups are limited to a maximum of 5 total participants, including hunters, youth hunters, mentors, and non-hunting partners.
- Single-use reservations: Each reservation is valid for one-time use only and is only valid during the date and time shown on the NGPC-issued permission slip.
- Property boundaries and site access: Hunters are responsible for staying within property boundaries and only accessing the specific site reserved as indicated on the NGPC-issued permission slip.
- No unauthorized guests: Only registered hunters or non-hunting guests listed on the reservation may access the property.
- Decoys and blinds: Any temporary hunting blinds, tree stands, or decoys must be removed after each hunt.
- Field dressing and waste disposal: Game must be field-dressed responsibly. All remains must be disposed of properly and not left in high-traffic areas.
- No trespassing on adjacent lands: Hunters must not cross onto private lands adjacent to MAP properties without permission.
