Accounting & finance
We offer a range of career opportunities for individuals passionate about conservation, financial management and public service. This division plays a critical role in managing the agency’s financial resources, supporting budget planning, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and ensuring compliance with state financial regulations. Whether you’re an experienced financial analyst, a budgeting expert, or someone eager to begin a rewarding career in government finance, the Budget & Fiscal Division offers excellent opportunities.
Communications
Our communications team is responsible for managing public relations, marketing, outreach and internal communications to promote the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s mission and services. The division works to engage the public, promote outdoor recreation and educate citizens about wildlife, parks and natural resources in Nebraska.
Engineering
Our engineers plan, design, construct and maintain the infrastructure and facilities that support Nebraska’s state parks and recreational sites. They ensure that these areas are safe, accessible and sustainable for public use. Our engineering staff works with contractors, state agencies and other stakeholders to align projects with both recreational and conservation needs, prioritizing safety and environmental sustainability.
Human Resources
Our helpful HR staff are responsible for managing all aspects of employee relations, staffing, training, benefits and organizational development within the agency. The division plays a crucial role in recruiting, retaining and supporting employees who help advance the mission of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Information Technology
Our IT staff play a critical role in supporting the agency’s technological infrastructure and ensuring that systems, networks and software applications run smoothly. Our planning and project development teams play a critical role in ensuring the agency’s long-term success. This organized team is primarily responsible for agency planning efforts, real estate, water policy, safeguarding threatened and endangered species, trail development, and grant projects related to conservation and outdoor recreation. They’re at the forefront of developing comprehensive plans, driving important conservation initiatives, and overseeing projects that enhance outdoor experiences across the state.
