Fall trout stockings wrapping up; anglers asked for input

The annual fall stocking of rainbow trout across Nebraska is winding down. Steinhart Park Pond in Nebraska City and Crystal Springs Middle Pond in Fairbury will be stocked the week of Nov. 12.

The stocking at Steinhart Park Pond was postponed earlier because of low dissolved oxygen levels. Conditions have improved to allow the stocking of 400 trout. Crystal Springs will receive 1,000 trout.

Anglers are encouraged to visit OutdoorNebraska.gov/guides-maps/fishing-guides-reports/trout-stocking to access a survey regarding put-and-take trout fisheries. Information from this survey will be used to inform future trout management and stocking decisions.
