Community Fishing is a Nebraska Game and Parks program designed to help you make a community fishing adventure possible and rewarding. Community Fishing Events are held to assist you and your families in learning how to fish with the assistance of NGPC staff and Certified Fishing Instructors. Community Fishing Nights occur across the state at Family Friendly Lakes, where you will find loaner fishing equipment, bait and staff to assist you.
Carp-O-Rama is a one-day version of fish camp, featuring information on how to catch, clean and cook carp. If you are a novice or expert angler, we have advice on fishing equipment and techniques, as well as demonstrations on fish preparation. The lake is pre-baited to attract fish and improve carp-catching opportunities. This Community Fishing event features activities and information suited for a family adventure. Loaner fishing equipment, bait and advice from experts will be provided.
Nebraska hosts a number of fishing tournaments for a variety of fish species every year. Here you’ll find information on high school fishing tournaments and all other tournaments taking place across the state.
