Reservation information
There is a nonrefundable reservation fee for each cabin or campsite reserved. See our reservation policy and booking details below.
Lodging reservations are available up to a year in advance on a first-come, first-served basis online or by calling the Nebraska State Parks Reservation Center at 402-471-1414. In order to provide the best guest experience, we require a minimum two-night stay at all cabins. Our dedicated team requires adequate time to ensure each cabin meets our high standards of cleanliness and comfort between guest visits. One-night stays are permitted for lodge rooms at Fort Robinson State Park during peak season and for lodge rooms at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park during non-peak season, Sundays through Thursdays.
Reservations require a nonrefundable $8.50 + tax reservation fee per unit in addition to the regular lodging fee. Cabin check-in time is 4 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. (except at Fort Robinson State Park, where check-in time is 5 p.m. and check-out time is 10 a.m.).
Designated camp sites may be reserved up to 180 days at park locations across the state and 30 days in advance for beach camping at Lake McConaughy State Recreation Area. Reserved sites may not be available until 4 p.m. the day of arrival, or 2 p.m. at Lake McConaughy and Lake Ogallala SRAs.
All areas with reservable campsites become first-come, first-serve sites during non-peak season — typically Oct 15 – April 15 (dates may vary by park depending on if they use a set date or take the weekend into account).
Reservations require a nonrefundable $8.50 + tax reservation fee in addition to the regular camping fee. At reservable campsites, some two-night stays are required for camping over a weekend; during non-peak season, one-night stays are accepted for Sundays through Thursdays for camping.
Camping at all other areas is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Camping sites must be vacated by the time posted unless you re-register.
Group picnic shelters may be reserved at some areas. A reservation may be made online, phone, or in person up to one year in advanced. Fees are $70 with electricity and $50 without. Reservations require a nonrefundable $8.50 + tax reservation fee in addition to the regular shelter fee.
There is a $20 one-time pet fee per unit for pets staying in cabins. Service animals are exempt.
Cancellation policy and refunds
Reservations may be cancelled online by logging into your Reserve America account or by email to the Nebraska reservation call center at ngpc.reservations@nebraska.gov or directly to the park where the reservation(s) are held. If you check out early, the unused portion of your payment will be forfeited.
At Lake McConaughy and Lake Ogallala SRAs, reservation holders who do not call or check-in and occupy their site on the reserved date of their arrival are considered “no-shows.” No-shows will be canceled with no fees refunded. Upon cancellation, the site will immediately be opened for re-booking.
Canceling dates from the beginning dates of a reservation is not allowed and is non-refundable at any time during peak season. Reservations that encompass both non-peak and peak season dates are governed by the peak season partial Cancellation Guideline. Guests are not allowed to transfer their arrival date to a later date within the same existing reservation dates.
If cancelling between 0-30 days prior to arrival date, a refund is given, minus a one night’s rental per unit being cancelled and cancellation fee of $5 per unit. If cancelling 31 days or greater prior to arrival date, a refund is given, minus a cancellation fee of $5 per unit. Except the Comanche Hall at Fort Robinson.
The reservation fee + tax is nonrefundable.
Comanche Hall (Fort Robinson State Park)
If cancelling less than 90 days prior to arrival date, a refund is given, minus a one night’s rental and $5 cancellation fee. If cancelling 90 days or greater prior to arrival date, a refund is given, minus a cancellation fee of $5.
The reservation fee + tax is nonrefundable.
Reservation fees per unit are not refundable. If cancelling less than 7 days prior to arrival date, a refund is given, minus a 1 night’s rental per site/unit being cancelled and cancellation fee of $5 per site/ unit. If cancelling 7 days or greater prior to arrival date, a refund is given, minus a cancellation fee of $5 per site/unit.
The reservation fee + tax is nonrefundable.
Payment
Payment in full is required at the time the reservation is made. Payment may be made by Discover, Visa or MasterCard, check, money order, cash, or Nebraska Game and Parks Commission Bucks. There is a non-refundable $8.50 (plus tax) reservation fee per lodging unit, camp site, picnic shelter or facility. To reserve a horse stall there is a nonrefundable $7 (plus tax) reservation fee. Payment in full is required within 10 calendar days of making reservation when paying by check and when reservation is made more than 30 days ahead of your arrival. Payment must be received at the park within 10 calendar days of making a reservation or the reservation will be canceled.
