Big Game Lotteries
Enter these big game lotteries to win a once-in-a-lifetime hunting package.
Nebraska offers two big game multi-species lotteries for resident and non-resident hunters. One permit in each lottery is awarded annually. The application period for the 2026 lotteries runs from Jan. 2, until July 3, 2026.
Super Tag lottery
The Super Tag permit offers hunters the opportunity to take one elk of either sex, one antelope of either sex, one deer of either sex and two turkeys (two in the fall season, two in the spring season or one in each season). The permit is good for two years; tags can only be filled during an open hunting season and with an appropriate weapon.
Nebraska residents who have already drawn a bull elk tag are eligible to enter either lottery. There are two Super Tag lotteries: one open only to Nebraska residents, and one open to both resident and nonresidents. Only the latter lottery can be entered multiple times.

Combo lottery
The Combo permit offers the opportunity to take one antelope of either sex, one deer of either sex and two turkeys (two in the fall season, two in the spring season, or one in each season). The permit is good for two years; tags can only be filled during an open hunting season and with an appropriate weapon. There are two Combo lotteries: one open only to Nebraska residents and one open only to non-residents. Both are multiple-entry lotteries.

Bighorn sheep lotteries
Two bighorn sheep lotteries, open only to Nebraska residents, offer the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a bighorn sheep ram.
How to apply
To apply for a lottery draw, log into your permits account during the designated application period and select “Apply for a Draw Permit”. Select the draw option(s) you would like to apply for, add to your cart and check out. Draw results will be emailed to you after the application period closes and permits are to be printed once winners are contacted.
Elk and multi-species auction opportunities
Nebraska special auction permits are open to residents of any state.
Each year, some of our partner conservation organizations auction off a limited number of special permits. These auctions help fund conservation projects in Nebraska and are open to interested hunters. Most organizations allow phone-in or online bidding during their auctions — see individual websites for information.
