Rock Creek Station SRA campground to close for upgrade

Camping at Rock Creek Station State Recreation Area near Fairbury will close for the season Nov. 11, 2024, to allow for improvements at the campground.

Work is expected to start next week and continue until late spring. The improvements include upgrading all 25 electrical campsites to 50-amp service.

Partial funding for the project is provided by the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
