Road to Davis Creek Recreation Area closing Oct. 1

The access road at Davis Creek Recreation Area near North Loup will close Oct. 1 for paving.

The project on what is formally known as Fussyville Road is being conducted by the Lower Loup Natural Resources District, which manages the 157-acre recreation area at the reservoir. The closure will affect access to the recreation area’s facilities, including the boat ramp, fish-cleaning station and campground.

Davis Creek Wildlife Management Area, which includes the reservoir and most of the property surrounding it, will remain open to the public during the project. That includes the reservoir’s inlet, popular with anglers.

NRD officials expect the project to be completed by Dec. 31.
