A paving project is altering vehicle access to Danish Alps State Recreation Area for several weeks.
According to the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and the Papio-Missouri Natural Resources District, M Avenue, south of Hubbard, from Poplar Street to 200th Street will be closed for paving, temporarily ending access to the SRA directly from town.
A detour from Highway 35 to the SRA are I Avenue south to 200th Street, west to 197th Street and west to 203th Street. Another detour from the highway is S. Bluff Road to 200th Street.
The Dakota County Road Department in conjunction with the Village of Hubbard, is paving the road. Watch for detour signs to assist in the timing of the closure and reopening. The road is closed to all traffic.
