Mini golf course at Mahoney to close for upgrades

The miniature golf course at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park near Ashland will temporarily close Sept. 2 for renovations.

The course will be closed through mid-October while it receives upgrades and a new look. Once complete, guests will be able to enjoy a course featuring iconic features from the Venture Parks, including Go Ape, Crawdad Creek, and the Schramm Hatch House.

“We appreciate our guests’ patience while upgrades are made,” said Michael Townsend, park superintendent. “The renovation will enhance future mini-golf experiences for all and will help us achieve our commitment to providing high-quality recreational activities for park visitors.

“This investment will ensure Mahoney State Park remains a top destination for families and visitors.”

The upgrade is part of the Nebraska Game and Parks Venture Parks effort, a public-private partnership to expand opportunities and amenities at four popular state parks and recreation areas along the Platte River. Visit OutdoorNebraska.gov/parks/venture-parks for more information.
