Memphis SRA temporarily closed due to flooding

Memphis State Recreation Area in Saunders County is closed temporarily due to flooding.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission evacuated the park on the evening of May 21 and issued refunds to campers. Roads leading to the park have been barricaded.

Staff will evaluate the situation and any damage when flood waters recede, then update the status of the SRA at that time.
