Ladies Learn to Pheasant Hunt is Oct. 18-19

Ladies looking to go on their first upland bird hunt can enjoy a fun outing with like-minded individuals at the Ladies Learn to Pheasant Hunt weekend Oct. 18-19 near Beatrice.

Hosted by the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman and Pheasants Forever, the weekend will include shotgun basics at the Beatrice Gun Club, safe hunting and firearm handling, shotgun selection, upland bird cleaning, meals prepared with game meat and a mentored pheasant hunt at Cub Creek Hunting Club. Lodging will be provided by Cub Creek.

Applications close Sept. 10 at 9 a.m. Central time, with selected individuals being notified by Sept. 16. Participants must purchase a hunt permit and habitat stamp.
