Kearney Outdoor Education Complex grand opening is Aug. 19

The public is invited to attend the grand opening of the Kearney Outdoor Education Complex from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 19.

This event is an opportunity to celebrate the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s newest outdoor education center.

Attendees can enjoy free trap and skeet shooting, sporting clays, archery, education center tours, interactive educational activities, hot dogs and refreshments (while supplies last), and meet staff members.

KOEC, the former Fort Kearny Shooting Sports Complex property, is located at 10945 Poole Ave., northeast of Kearney.
