Go Explore summer camp spots still available

The Nebraska Game and Parks Outdoor Education Center still has openings for two of its Lincoln-based summer camps, which offer the opportunity to learn outdoor skills.

The Go Explore camps are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with extended drop-off and pick-up hours available. Camps are open to ages 8 to 13; and cost is $200 per child.

The two camps with openings are:

  • July 10 to 13: Girls in the Outdoors, a camp for girls focused on building the skills needed to pursue outdoor adventures. Girls will learn about archery, outdoor survival and first aid, in addition to shooting range safety, marksmanship and wildlife conservation.
  • July 24 to 27: Outdoor Skills, a coed camp, focused on shooting sports, range safety, marksmanship, wildlife conservation, and outdoor survival skills.
