Closure of Platte River SP’s Lincoln Journal Tower extended

The temporary closure of Platte River State Park’s Lincoln Journal Tower has been extended to Nov. 22, as scheduled maintenance has been delayed by the late arrival of materials.

The 85-foot-tall observation tower, built in 1982, is located next to Walter Scott Jr. Lodge.

The public may access Daugherty Tower, which is located at Mallet Lodge, near the Spray Park.

A vehicle entry permit is required at Platte River SP.
