The Christmas spirit is back at Buffalo Bill State Historical Park as Christmas at the Codys’ returns for the first three weekends in December. Join the festivities from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday or Saturday Dec. 6-21.

Local nonprofit organizations and Nebraska Game and Parks staff have decorated every nook and cranny of the mansion turning the home into a seasonal wonderland. The historic Scout’s Rest Ranch barn is festively decorated, and the outbuildings and grounds light up the night sky.

Buffalo Bill will welcome you to his home where carolers and local musicians provide entertainment nightly in the Lady’s parlor as park visitors tour the mansion. Take the chill away with hot cider, Christmas cookies and roasted chestnuts in the old storehouse outside the mansion; heating stations will keep park guests warm.

Horse-drawn hayrack rides will take people around the grounds of the state historical park, and Santa will be at the ranch listening to Christmas wishes Dec. 6, 7, 13, and 14.

Entry is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 4-12. Military and First Responders Appreciation Night is Dec. 13 and offers free entry for those who served or are serving.

A vehicle park entry permit is required at Nebraska state parks. Get one at OutdoorNebraska.gov or at state park entrances.
