Calamus visitors should call ahead as closures continue

Ongoing road construction continues to affect public access at Calamus Reservoir State Recreation Area. Guests planning trips to the park are advised to call ahead for the latest updates.

Gracie Creek fishing access, Little York Point and Valley View Campground and boat ramp currently are the only accessible areas in the park.

Entering the busy spring fishing and camping season, it is recommended park visitors proactively contact the SRA before their trip to find out the status of area closures at the park. Closures on most areas are expected to last through April and into May.

Contact Calamus Reservoir SRA at 308-346-5666 or ngpc.calamus@nebraska.gov for the latest updates.
