Reptile Awareness Month

Nebraska Game and Parks hosts an annual Reptile Art Competition each fall leading up to National Reptile Awareness Day.

National Reptile Awareness Day falls on October 21 each year. To celebrate, Nebraska Game and Parks hosts an annual art contest.

Any student in grades K-12 is eligible to participate by entering an original piece of artwork, submitted digitally, featuring a native Nebraska reptile. For example, a student that creates a line drawing can then take a photo of their artwork and upload it below. Each student that submits their art along with the submission form will receive a Reptile-ology magazine.

Winners from each grade level will be selected by Game and Parks staff and announced on National Reptile Awareness Day. Entries may be submitted starting in early September.
