The 50th Annual Nebraska Youth Smallbore Silhouette Invitational will be Sept. 26 at Pressey Wildlife Management Area in Custer County.
This free event is open to youth ages 11 and older who can prove they have completed Hunter Education and have not graduated high school.
Participants fire 40 standing shots at metal silhouette targets: 10 each at 44, 66, 84, and 109 yards. They compete individually and on teams in different classifications.
First-time shooters receive one free box of .22 ammunition.
Find details and registration information at the calendar entry at OutdoorNebraska.gov. Early registration is preferred but they also will be taken the day of the event.
Trophies and medals will be awarded.
