Dock improvements coming to Lake Minatare

Upcoming improvements to the boat dock at Lake Minatare State Recreation Area will better serve visitors during periods of low water.

With low water, the concrete anchor holding the dock in place has become exposed near the ramp and is obstructing boat traffic. Nebraska Game and Parks Commission staff plan to remove that anchor and replace it with one that will be fully submerged farther from the ramp and dock.

During the work period, boaters can access the ramp but no dock will be available. The project is tentatively scheduled June 17-18.
