Notices

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is responsible for issuing public notices regarding the management of Nebraska's natural resources.

Public notices

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is responsible for the issuance of public notices regarding the management of Nebraska’s fish, wildlife, park and outdoor recreation resources. A nine-member Board of Commissioners oversees the Commission. They represent eight geographic areas, with one additional at-large seat.

Rules, regulations and orders

Because the Commission oversees a variety of activities, it would be nearly impossible for the Legislature to address every situation with statutes. Therefore, the Commission has been granted the authority by the Legislature to establish orders, rules and regulations.

To establish rules and regulations, the Commission must give public notice, conduct a public hearing and then approve the new rules and regulations. The new regulations become effective after they have been signed by the governor.

Notice of discrimination

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission does not discriminate based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, and/or political affiliation in its programs, activities, or employment.
