Women can learn skills at Introduction to Fishing events

Women in south-central Nebraska looking to learn fishing skills are invited to Introduction to Fishing events hosted by the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program.

The events, led by female instructors, will go from 6-8 p.m. The offerings are: May 27 at North Park Lake, Holdrege; June 2 at Johnson Lake, Elwood; June 9 at Fort Kearny State Recreation Area; and June 16 at Windmill SRA, Gibbon.

This evening of fun and fellowship will include selecting a beginner’s fishing equipment, baiting a hook, casting a line, and safely releasing fish. All equipment and bait will be provided.
