Turkey Hunter Survey
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission conducts a survey of Nebraska turkey hunters each spring and fall. These surveys are designed to gather hunter information about experiences, attitudes and opinions related to the previous turkey season.
Surveys are sent via email shortly after each spring and fall season concludes to turkey hunters who purchased turkey hunting permits during the most recent correlating seasons.
The public’s input is important to Game and Parks and is another way in which hunters can participate in Nebraska’s wild turkey management program. Hunters are the primary tool used to manage the state’s wild turkey population. By combining your answers, we’re able to evaluate wild turkey harvest, hunter participation in specific programs, and hunter satisfaction. This helps us with our statewide harvest estimation, which is important to future wild turkey season regulations.
