Outdoor families event trailer
Nebraska outdoor trailers provide a turn-key ready trailer filled with 13 activities to host a one-day event. The goal is to engage Nebraska’s youth and families in nature and outdoor activities. Groups such as Pheasants Forever chapters, Boy and Girl Scout Troops, churches, youth groups and schools are welcome to check-out the trailer.
Wildlife education trunks
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission provides trunks with educational and hands-on materials designed to teach youth about birds and mammals. The trunks may be checked out at no charge to parents and educators.

Watchable Wildlife Guides
Available to download and print for free, these regional wildlife ID guides can aid in your exploration of Nebraska’s diversity of plant and animal species. These quick reference guides provide information of the region, help with species identification, and provide tips for wildlife viewing. They can be used for personal or educational purposes.
Service learning is defined as a teaching methodology which combine learning goals and community service in ways that can enhance both student growth and the common good.
According to the National Service Learning Clearinghouse, it is “a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities.”
