Olive Creek State Recreation Area has 612 acres of land and water available to outdoor recreation enthusiasts. Although small, the 175-acre lake supports a variety of fish species. Other activities include primitive camping and picnicking.

Fishing
The 175-acre lake at Olive Creek State Recreation Area supports a variety of fish, including largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie and channel catfish, all of which are benefiting from the improved water quality provided by a 2001 Aquatic Habitat Program project.

Hunting
Hunting opportunities at Olive Creek State Recreation Area include upland game, turkey, waterfowl and deer on 437 acres of land.
Boating
While all kinds of boats are welcome at Olive Creek State Recreation Area, there is a 5 mph speed limit. One ramp and two docks are available.
Picnicking
Olive Creek State Recreation Area offers 22 picnic tables and 24 grills.
Camping
Primitive camping
50 non-pad sites without electricity are scattered throughout the area. Water and vault restrooms are available to campers.

A park entry permit is required and may be purchased at the park, statewide Game and Parks offices and permit vendors or in advance of your arrival online.
