Long Pine is a 153-acre tract of Pine Ridge land straddling Long Pine Creek. The area offers primitive camping, fishing, hiking and an archery range.

Fishing

Long Pine creek offers some of Nebraska’s best trout fishing.

For more information on fishing opportunities here and at parks across the state, visit the interactive public fishing areas map. This map provides detailed information on available species, regulations, public boat ramps, fish cleaning stations and ADA-accessible boat ramps and docks, among other features in reservoirs, lakes, streams and rivers statewide. Lake contour maps are available for some lakes, as well.

Hunting

Hunting opportunities at Long Pine include deer, rabbit, squirrel and turkey on 160 acres of land.

Hiking

Long Pine State Recreation Area is home to a one-mile scenic hiking trail.

Picnicking

Long Pine is a popular day use spot and offers 50 picnic tables, 28 grills and five shelters.

Archery

An archery range is available in the northern section.

Camping

Primitive camping

Long Pine offers primitive camping. It has eight camping pads without electricity, as well as 21 non-pad sides without electricity.
