The Nebraska Trout in the Classroom Scholarship is administered through the Nebraska Game and Parks Foundation. These funds are available to accredited Nebraska schools that are new participants in Nebraska’s Trout in the Classroom program.
Thanks to Trout Unlimited for their generous support, 10 $500 scholarships will be awarded for 2018-2019 school year, dependent upon ranking of qualified applicants in a competitive application. Typical cost of a complete set-up is $1,000, which is a one-time cost except for replacement supplies. This scholarship will cover half of the total cost, with your school being responsible for the remaining amount. Funds are awarded as reimbursement of actual equipment expenses. Valid receipts must be submitted to Nebraska Trout in the Classroom along with a reimbursement request.
To apply for this scholarship: complete the online application at the bottom of this page. You will be required to attach two separate documents to your application: a project proposal and a budget spreadsheet. Use these guidelines to help you prepare the materials.
