Sam Larson, 2019 special guest
Sam Larson of Lincoln is a wilderness skills instructor, author, and speaker. Last year, at just 24 years old, he became the youngest winner of the world’s most difficult and dangerous survival reality TV challenge, Alone, which aired on the History Channel. He is the founder and lead instructor for Woodsong Wilderness Education, a company that specializes in teaching wilderness living skills through events, instructing, and consulting. Sam will give two mainstage presentations:
How I survived 115 days alone in the wilderness
Hear the gripping and inspirational story of how Sam won the world’s toughest survival competition, Alone, on the History Channel.
Nebraska is home to hundreds of plants that can be used for food and medicine. In this presentation, Sam teaches the uses of these plants, shares where they can be found throughout the state and demonstrates how to identify them properly.
