The reservoir at Conestoga State Recreation Area is currently under construction, and fishing and boating are not available at the moment. Thanks to the Aquatic Habitat Program, nearly half a million cubic yards of sediment will be removed, and angler access improvements, breakwaters and a new boat ramp and launching area will be added. The project is expected to be completed late in 2018.

Conestoga is a 230-acre reservoir surrounded by 486 acres of land. The area offers power boating, picnicking, hiking and biking trails, camping and fishing. Located just two miles north of Denton in rural Lancaster County, Conestoga is a popular getaway for visitors from Lincoln and the surrounding area.
